Dr. Stephen A. Brown is a retired plastic and reconstructive surgeon who dedicated over 35 years to practicing in the greater Hartford area. His path to medicine was shaped by a profound sense of duty and a deep appreciation for the healing arts, including his service in the US Army Medical Corps during the Vietnam War at the 3rd Field Hospital in Saigon, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. After earning his medical degree from New York University Medical School, Dr. Brown completed rigorous surgical training at NYU and Tufts Medical Center before finishing his plastic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical College. Throughout his long and distinguished career, he combined technical precision with genuine compassion, earning the deep trust of his patients and peers alike. Now retired from active surgical practice, Dr. Brown continues to serve his community by helping qualified patients navigate medical wellness programs, reflecting a lifelong commitment to patient care and well-being.
