From a young age, Dr. Peter Vogt was captivated by the precision and artistry involved in medicine, especially the transformative power of plastic surgery. He saw it not just as a science, but as an opportunity to profoundly impact individuals, helping them achieve greater comfort and confidence in their own skin. His journey began academically, earning his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, followed by extensive surgical training. He completed both his General Surgery and Plastic Surgery residencies at the esteemed University of Rochester Medical Center, building a robust foundation in complex surgical techniques. Since opening his private practice in Rochester in 1993, Dr. Vogt has cultivated an approach centered on understanding each patient's unique aspirations. He believes that true aesthetic improvement comes from a collaborative dialogue, where he listens intently and educates thoroughly, ensuring expectations are aligned with achievable, natural-looking results. Beyond his clinical practice, he has shared his expertise as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center and served as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Rochester General Hospital for over a decade. When not in the operating room, he cherishes time with his wife, traveling and enjoying outdoor activities, finding balance and inspiration in the beauty of the world around him.
