His path to medicine was uniquely shaped by active duty service in the United States Navy, where he served as the Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery and Director of Microsurgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, treating our nation's combat-wounded heroes. This high-stakes environment instilled in him an uncompromising standard for safety and meticulous surgical execution. Dr. Basile completed his rigorous general surgery and plastic surgery residency training at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, followed by distinguished academic faculty appointments at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pittsburgh. Today, at his practice in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, he blends world-class reconstructive expertise with an approachable, deeply personalized philosophy. Whether performing complex microsurgery or refining aesthetic transformations, Dr. Basile treats every patient like family, ensuring they feel thoroughly heard, cared for, and supported throughout every step of their journey.
