Biography

Dr. Michael Hakimi is a board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Hakimi Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills, and in a city full of bold claims, the word patients reach for most when reviewing him is "honest." He graduated summa cum laude in molecular biology from UCLA, earned his MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine, completed his plastic surgery residency at Loma Linda University, and finished with an aesthetic fellowship in Sacramento. He now serves as a Clinical Professor at Loma Linda. His Awake Liposuction technique uses local rather than general anesthesia, giving patients a safer procedure and faster recovery while allowing real-time feedback during surgery. He also performs the Total Definer method for more extensive contouring. Outside the OR he shoots photography and travels, and brings that same compositional eye to every result he creates.
