With a distinguished career spanning four decades, Dr. James Stuzin is internationally recognized as a pioneer and authority in facial aesthetic plastic surgery. Driven by an enduring fascination with facial anatomy, his foundational anatomical studies and the co-development of the Extended SMAS technique have fundamentally shaped modern facelift procedures worldwide. Dr. Stuzin earned his medical degree from the University of Florida School of Medicine, followed by rigorous general surgery training at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals, plastic surgery fellowship at New York University Hospitals, and craniofacial fellowships at the University of Miami and UCLA. Beyond his private practice at The Institute of Aesthetic Medicine in Miami, he serves as a Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and chairs the prestigious Baker Gordon Educational Symposium. Known for achieving naturally refreshed, elegant outcomes rather than altered appearances, Dr. Stuzin combines rigorous scientific mastery with a refined artistic vision.
