Biography

From a young age in Queens, New York, William Georgis, MD, witnessed how medical intervention transformed family members' lives. This sparked his desire to help others, leading him to medicine, and this profound personal connection to healing forms the core of his compassionate approach today. After earning his pharmacy degree from St. John's University, Dr. Georgis pursued his medical degree at St. George's University. He refined his surgical skills during a demanding five-year General Surgery residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident. His specialized Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship followed at the University of Southern California and LAC+USC Medical Center, where he mastered diverse techniques, from reconstructive procedures for trauma and cancer patients to advanced aesthetic enhancements. Before establishing his East Meadow private practice, Dr. Georgis served as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, training future surgeons in complex wound management and breast reconstruction. Today, as a board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he offers advanced skill, deep understanding, and an artistic eye to every patient. Away from the operating room, Dr. Georgis enjoys time outdoors with his wife and three children, often skiing, cycling, or hiking, and remains a devoted New York sports fan.
