Inspired by a profound desire to help individuals regain confidence and a positive perspective on life, Dr. Merkel approaches every consultation and procedure with an unwavering commitment to personal connection. His extensive medical journey began at the St. Louis University School of Medicine, followed by rigorous general surgery residency training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver and plastic surgery residency training at Brown University Hospital. He further honed his expertise serving as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy in the Plastic Surgery Department at Portsmouth Naval Hospital before bringing his specialized care to Colorado. Dr. Merkel believes that achieving natural-looking, harmonious results requires a meticulous blend of advanced technical capability and a warm, individualized bedside manner. By fostering an open, trusting rapport, he ensures that each patient's unique aesthetic goals are understood and thoughtfully realized in a comfortable, supportive environment.
