From an early age, a fascination with the intricate workings of the human body and a desire to help people led to a career in medicine for Walter Erhardt. Growing up as one of eight children, he learned the value of listening, understanding individual needs, and crafting tailored solutions, skills that now define his approach to plastic surgery. He believes that true beauty lies in enhancing natural features and restoring confidence, rather than aiming for an artificial ideal. Dr. Erhardt pursued his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, followed by a comprehensive general surgery residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. His path then led him to specialize in plastic surgery, completing his residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center. With over three decades of experience, he established The Center for Plastic Surgery, a practice built on a foundation of compassionate care and exceptional results. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a testament to his rigorous training and expertise. Fluent in Spanish, he ensures clear communication and comfort for a diverse patient community. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Erhardt enjoys time with his family, including his own four children, and maintaining an active lifestyle, often found playing golf or on the tennis court. He is also actively involved in his church and various community organizations, reflecting a commitment to service that extends beyond his practice.
