Driven by a lifelong fascination with human anatomy and structural repair, Dr. Pittman pursued rigorous medical training, earning his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo before completing dual residencies in general and plastic surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He further honed his craft through a specialized fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery at Georgetown University Hospital under renowned pioneer Dr. Scott Spear. Having previously served as Director of Breast Reconstruction at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and on the faculty at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Pittman brings elite academic rigor to his private practice, Somenek + Pittman MD, in Washington, D.C. Known for creating innovative techniques such as the P1 method for direct-to-implant reconstruction, he treats every patient like family, combining meticulous surgical skill with profound empathy to help individuals restore their confidence and feel wholly comfortable in their own skin.
