From a young age, the intricate beauty of both art and the human form captivated Dr. Roxanne Guy. This dual fascination led her to explore Fine Arts in her undergraduate studies before pursuing medicine, a path where she discovered the profound connection between aesthetic understanding and surgical precision. It's this unique blend that informs her approach to plastic and reconstructive surgery, allowing her to not only see a patient's goals but to envision and sculpt them with an artist's eye. Her journey into surgery began with a medical degree from Rush University Medical College in Chicago, followed by a rigorous residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Guy then honed her expertise further through a specialized fellowship in hand, wrist, and microsurgery at the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, an experience that deepened her skill in complex reconstructive techniques. Now board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with an additional Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery, she brings a comprehensive and nuanced understanding to every procedure. Dr. Guy believes in crafting highly individualized surgical plans, ensuring each patient's unique aesthetic desires and life circumstances are met with thoughtful care. Outside of her practice, she cherishes time outdoors with her family and two Goldendoodles, enjoys exploring new culinary experiences, traveling, and continues to express her creativity through drawing and sculpting, truly embodying the harmonious blend of art and science in her life and work.
