Rooted in a profound dedication to service and healing, Dr. Robert T. Howard brings an extraordinary background of military and clinical excellence to his practice in Annapolis. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the Uniformed Services University, Dr. Howard completed a distinguished 27-year career in the United States Navy—serving as a ship's surgeon on the USS Nimitz, director of surgical services at NATO’s hospital in Afghanistan, and chief of plastic surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, alongside serving as the Plastic Surgery Consultant for the White House. After completing his general surgery residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego and his plastic surgery residency at Emory University, Dr. Howard transitioned his vast expertise in complex microsurgical reconstruction and restorative care to private practice and Luminis Health. Whether helping patients navigate post-mastectomy breast reconstruction or refining their natural aesthetics with facelifts, tummy tucks, and advanced body contouring, Dr. Howard approaches every patient with deep compassion, meticulous precision, and an unwavering commitment to restoring both physical form and personal confidence.
