Growing up in Michigan, it became clear to Richard Bene that the ability to help someone enhance their self-image or restore function through surgery was profoundly powerful. He saw firsthand the incredible impact that both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures could have on a person, not just physically, but on their self-esteem and overall quality of life. This deep understanding ignited his journey into plastic surgery, leading him to earn his medical degree from Rush Medical College. His extensive training continued with a general surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center, followed by a specialized plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Illinois Hospital. Now a board-certified plastic surgeon, he approaches his practice, San Antonio Plastic Surgery, with a philosophy centered on genuine connection and clear communication. Patients often speak of his warm demeanor, feeling completely at ease discussing their deepest concerns and aesthetic aspirations. He believes in working closely with each individual, taking the time to truly understand their goals, which allows him to craft treatment plans that deliver natural, beautiful results. Dr. Bene finds immense satisfaction in enhancing each patient's unique beauty, ensuring outcomes that complement their individual features rather than creating an artificial look.
