Biography

From his early days growing up in West Texas, a keen eye for detail and a desire to help people truly thrive were defining characteristics of Dr. Mack Richey. This foundational spirit eventually led him to a distinguished career in plastic surgery, a field where he sees the profound impact of combining artistic vision with the rigorous precision of medicine. After earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Dr. Richey honed his surgical expertise with a comprehensive general surgery residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital, where he was honored with the Resident’s Award for Clinical Excellence. He further specialized, completing his plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, eventually serving as Chief Resident in both programs. When Dr. Richey established The Cosmetic Surgical Center in 1993, his goal was to create an environment where patients felt heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. He believes that true cosmetic enhancement comes from a collaborative approach, ensuring each individual’s unique goals are met with thoughtful planning and state of the art techniques. Outside of his demanding practice, Dr. Richey cherishes time spent with his family and exploring the rich cultural landscape of his home state. For him, the joy of surgery lies in helping individuals discover a renewed sense of confidence and well being, empowering them to embrace their lives fully.
