Dr. Hunsicker earned her medical degree from the University of Texas in Houston, followed by rigorous general surgery training at the University of Colorado Denver and a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. An innovator in her field, she is among an elite group of surgeons performing advanced single-stage direct-to-implant breast reconstruction with nerve grafting, helping cancer survivors restore both form and sensation simultaneously.
