Raised in Winfield, Kansas, Dr. Barnthouse pursued his medical education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine before completing rigorous training across the country, including a general surgery residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and specialized fellowships in aesthetic surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and breast surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital and Emory University. Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he brings decades of specialized expertise to his practice in Kansas City. Known for his warm bedside manner, straightforward honesty, and perfectionist approach on surgical days, Dr. Barnthouse ensures every patient receives personalized attention from consultation through recovery.
