Biography

From an early age, it was clear that a life of service and precision beckoned. Growing up with a deep fascination for medicine and a keen eye for detail, the path to becoming a plastic surgeon felt like a natural calling. It was the unique opportunity to combine surgical artistry with a profound impact on people's lives that truly resonated. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame, this calling led to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where a robust foundation in general surgery was built, culminating in a role as Chief Resident. Further honing his skills, a specialized plastic surgery residency followed at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, again rising to Chief Resident. To refine his expertise even further, he undertook a dedicated Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship right here in Atlanta, gaining invaluable experience that would shape his distinct approach. Returning to Atlanta in 1999, he co-founded The Swan Center for Plastic Surgery, driven by a vision to create a practice where patients feel truly seen and understood. His philosophy centers on listening intently to each individual's desires, understanding their lifestyle, and then developing a customized plan that harmonizes their natural beauty with their goals. Away from the operating room, he finds balance and joy in outdoor pursuits like golf, skiing, and fishing, often enjoying these activities with his family. This love for an active, engaged life translates into an understanding of how transformative feeling good about oneself can be, offering a blend of empathetic care and sophisticated surgical skill.
