Growing up in Jacksonville, this doctor developed a deep connection to his community, a bond that continues to shape his approach to medicine today. His path to becoming a distinguished plastic surgeon began with a strong academic foundation, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Florida before earning his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. His advanced training included a general surgery residency at the University of South Carolina, where he honed his skills as Chief Resident. He then pursued a plastic surgery residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, again serving as Chief Resident, before completing a specialized fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at The Ohio State University. This extensive background equips him with a profound understanding of complex anatomical and reconstructive challenges. Returning to his hometown in 2007, he quickly became a respected leader, serving as President of both the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Duval County Medical Society. His advocacy for patient well-being extends beyond the operating room, earning him the Florida Medical Association’s President’s Award for patient safety and the Duval County Medical Society's Community Service Award for his significant volunteer efforts. He believes in fostering genuine connections with each patient, ensuring they feel heard and understood, and approaches every procedure with meticulous care and an eye for natural results. Away from his practice, he enjoys spending quality time outdoors with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, often found fishing or hunting.
