Biography

Choosing to pursue plastic surgery, Dr. Gerald Garcia recognized early the profound ability to transform lives by helping individuals align their inner self with their outer appearance. After completing his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, his journey through rigorous training began. He honed his foundational surgical skills during a comprehensive general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. This was followed by specialized training in plastic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, again distinguishing himself as Chief Resident. Further deepening his expertise, Dr. Garcia completed a fellowship in hand surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, allowing him to restore both form and function to delicate structures. Since 1986, Dr. Garcia has brought his meticulous approach and deep understanding of anatomy to his patients in Westchester, New York. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at New York Medical College, he also contributes to educating future surgeons, staying at the forefront of the field. His practice philosophy centers on listening intently to each patient's aspirations, creating personalized plans that achieve natural, harmonious results. Patients often appreciate his warm demeanor and his clear, honest communication, which builds a strong sense of trust. Outside of his practice, Dr. Garcia values time with his family and enjoys various outdoor activities.
