After completing his medical degree, he chose to deepen his surgical expertise with a comprehensive plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital. Seeking to master the delicate artistry of hand reconstruction, he pursued a specialized fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at The Buncke Clinic, a renowned institution in San Francisco. Returning to his roots in Northern Virginia, Dr. Cox established Cox Plastic Surgery in 1999, envisioning a practice where meticulous surgical skill meets genuine patient care. He believes that true aesthetic improvement comes from a collaborative approach, where he truly listens to each person's unique desires and concerns, guiding them with an honest and realistic perspective.
