Biography

Dr. Fleming knew at an early age that he wanted to follow his father and grandfather’s footsteps into the medical field and become a plastic surgeon. Dr. Fleming earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Fleming went on to complete a six year General Surgery residency at the Yale University School of Medicine Affiliated Hospital System. While there, as Chief Resident, he was awarded a special teaching award for his skill at teaching medical students and junior residents assigned to his service. Dr. Fleming continued on to complete a two year Plastic Surgery residency at McGill University under the guidance of Bruce Williams, who was then president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. This was followed by a hand fellowship in Phoenix Arizona.
