Dr. Barek’s journey into medicine began with his studies at Canisius College and continued through the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He honed his foundational surgical skills during his General Surgery Residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital, then refined his expertise further with a specialized Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Rochester. Since establishing his practice in 1996, he has become a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, known for consistently achieving natural-looking results. Beyond his extensive training and his role on the clinical faculty at SUNY at Buffalo, Dr. Barek is a family man, married with three children. When not in the operating room or consulting with patients, he enjoys the simple pleasures of life, whether it is a round of golf, a fishing trip, skiing down slopes, or exploring new places with his loved ones. This balanced perspective, coupled with his focus on patient education and safety, ensures that those under his care feel heard, understood, and ultimately thrilled with their outcomes.
