A deep appreciation for precision and the life-changing potential of both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures guided Daniel Cudnik's path to plastic surgery. Growing up in the heart of Wisconsin, he embarked on his comprehensive medical journey at the University of Wisconsin. There, he earned his medical degree, completed his general surgery residency, and further specialized in plastic surgery residency, distinguishing himself as Chief Resident in both programs. This rigorous background provided him with a robust foundation in intricate surgical techniques spanning the face, breast, and body. Since 2012, Dr. Cudnik has been a vital part of Plastic Surgery Associates of South Dakota, where his expertise extends to serving as Medical Director for Facial Trauma Services across Sanford and Avera Health, in addition to his role as a Clinical Instructor at the Sanford School of Medicine. His patient philosophy centers on transparent and thorough communication. He believes in educating individuals on their complete range of treatment choices, building a relationship of trust that empowers them to confidently pursue outcomes they envision. When not in the clinic, he cherishes moments with his wife and two children, often finding relaxation in fishing, hunting, golfing, or downhill skiing, pursuits that reflect his balanced approach to life.
