Her journey into medicine began with a desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives, leading her to earn her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Following this, she honed her skills through a comprehensive plastic surgery residency at the prestigious UT Southwestern Medical Center, immersing herself in the intricate world of reconstructive techniques. Further specializing, she completed a rigorous craniofacial surgery fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, gaining invaluable experience with complex conditions like cleft lip and palate, microtia, and congenital hand differences. Now an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern and Children's Health, she brings this wealth of knowledge to her practice, treating a spectrum of conditions from vascular anomalies to facial palsy and nerve injuries. For Dr. Catignani, the greatest reward is seeing a child thrive, experiencing the joy of renewed confidence and possibility.
