Growing up on the vibrant island of Puerto Rico, the world of medicine, particularly surgery, captivated Candido Fuentes-Felix from a young age. This early fascination blossomed into a lifelong pursuit of helping others through the art and science of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He understands that contemplating surgery is a deeply personal decision, and his approach is always rooted in creating a relationship built on trust and clear communication. He began his extensive medical journey at the University of Puerto Rico, where he earned his medical degree and subsequently completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His desire to master the most intricate aspects of the field led him to further specialized training, completing a prestigious fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Pennsylvania. This advanced expertise allows him to offer a broad spectrum of procedures, from delicate hand surgeries to complex reconstructive and aesthetic transformations. Dr. Fuentes-Felix believes in honoring each patient's unique vision, combining the highest standards of safety with an artistic eye to achieve natural, harmonious results. Outside of the operating room, he finds joy and balance in spending quality time with his family, casting a line while fishing, or enjoying a round of golf, pursuits that reflect his calm and focused demeanor.
