Dr. Amanda Gosman brings a deeply compassionate, globally informed perspective to plastic and reconstructive surgery. Driven early in life by a passion for social equity and international development, she ultimately discovered that surgery offered the ideal canvas to blend artistic problem-solving with profound human service. Today, she serves as Professor and Chief of Plastic Surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine and Rady Children's Hospital, where her clinical practice spans complex pediatric and adult craniofacial reconstruction, microsurgical facial reanimation, cleft care, and aesthetic surgery. Beyond her home institution, Dr. Gosman's dedication to humanitarian care shines through her leadership at the Fresh Start Clinic and as founder of ConnectMed International, a non-profit dedicated to providing free reconstructive surgeries and surgical education in underserved regions worldwide. Blending rigorous technical precision with a warm, empathetic approach, Dr. Gosman treats every patient like family, offering personalized solutions designed to restore function, confidence, and quality of life.
