A deep curiosity about the human form and a desire to help people live more comfortably in their skin led Dr. Albert Fleury to a career in plastic surgery. Growing up in the Washington D.C. area, he attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, embarking on a path that would see him become a respected leader in his field. He further honed his surgical artistry through comprehensive training, completing a general surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, followed by a specialized hand surgery fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital. His advanced training culminated in a plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital, preparing him for the intricate demands of the specialty. Since establishing The Center for Plastic Surgery in 1980, Dr. Fleury has approached each patient with a philosophy centered on natural, elegant results that enhance their unique beauty without erasing their identity. He believes that true aesthetic transformation comes from careful listening and a personalized plan, ensuring that every individual's goals and comfort are prioritized. His colleagues consistently recognize his expertise, with numerous accolades including induction into the Washingtonian Magazine ‘Top Doctor’ Hall of Fame and being named to the prestigious Castle Connolly Top Doctors list. He has also been honored with the Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence at George Washington University, where he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery, reflecting his commitment to educating the next generation of surgeons. When not in the operating room, Dr. Fleury enjoys embracing his fluency in French and exploring diverse cultures, experiences that undoubtedly deepen his understanding of beauty and individuality.
